Welcome to aquapaws CANINE hydrotherapy

Here at AquaPaws Hydrotherapy Northallerton, we are the first of our kind for the canine clients of North Yorkshire. Our unique veterinary physiotherapist-led canine hydrotherapy service means our clients benefit from specialist insights, integrated physiotherapy, access to a broader range of treatment options, and scientifically evidenced treatment protocols all within a professional and calm environment. With our industry leading canine underwater treadmill alongside physiotherapist expertise, we are well equipped to restore and improve the physical health and function of your furry friend!

How can we help?

  • Improve rehabilitation efficacy and recovery time with carefully considered hydro-physio therapeutic treatment and exercises, targeting primary and secondary musculoskeletal issues.

Conditions frequently seen are post-operative rehabilitation, cruciate ligament damage, luxating patella and IVDD.

  • Support your pet through their chronic conditions or geriatric years by maintaining comfort and mobility through regular gentle, reduce weight bearing exercises alongside therapeutic physiotherapy.

Conditions frequently seen include hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia and osteoarthritis.

  • Keep your mobile, flexible and fit by identifying areas of muscular weakness, increasing joint ranges of motions and promoting equal muscular development. Useful for spotting and addressing issues quickly before they become problems!

  • Specialist help for sporting or working animals. Client goal specific programmes aiming to achieve peak musculoskeletal performance in order to safely and comfortably meet physical demands, without injury. Consider it a physiotherapist ran personal training gym session! Yes, our treadmill has an incline function.

Does my dog acutally need this?

A very valid question! Many dogs we see appear ‘fit and well’ but there can be niggles beneath the surface. We help owners to spot and address these early, helping to prevent injury and spiralling vet bills.

For a physical ‘MOT’ assessment of your dog with our specialist veterinary physiotherapists, you arrange a FREE 15min Consultation. No hard sale, no strings attached, just passionate dog people who like to help.
